Travelling to Denmark
If your are bringing your dog on holiday, it is important that you have it tagged with an unambiguous individual tag, a socalled ID tag. An ID tag can either be a microchip or a legible tattoo, such as an ear tattoo. Furthermore, the dog must have a valid rabies vaccination, and the date of the vaccination must be stated on the blue EU passport for pets, which is only valid with stamp and signature from the vet.

Name tag and liability insurance
We recommend that the dog is provided with your holiday address and your mobile phone number, in order for it to be returned to you quickly, if it goes astray. You can for example make a small water-resistant badge that can hang from its collar. Furthermore, you should make sure that the dog’s compulsory liability insurance is also valid on holiday.
